- 父親が癌だと分かりました。父親には借金もあり、どうして良いか分かりません。 私は、何をすべきでしょうか。 １年前に多額の借金が発覚し、私が弁護士に相談するよう進め、2ヶ月ほど前にようやく解決の糸口が見えたところでした。 借金の原因は、仕事、生活費etcですが、当初聞いていた額は1000万近く。 弁護士さんに整理をしてもらい、いくらか過払い金が返ってきたようですが、細かい金額は分かりません。 そして、１０年かけて返済していくという話になったようですが、つい先日、父親に癌が見つかりました。 手術が出来ない場所らしく、抗がん剤治療をしていくしかないとのこと。 そもそも、返済金額が完済したものから減って行くとはいえ、６０歳の父親が１０年返済し続けれるのか？ということ自体に疑問を持ったのですが、父と弁護士さんが話しあった結果なので大丈夫なのだろうと思っていました。 しかし、癌となれば話は別です。 治療によってどうなるかは分かりませんが、今のように働けなくなるのは当然。 多額の借金をどうしたらいいのか。。 財産は全て父親名義で、実家には跡継ぎ予定の兄夫婦がいますが、今ですら生活費の半分を親に世話になってるような人達。 本来なら、兄夫婦がなんとかすべきとは思うのですが、どうなんでしょうか？ 私は1人暮らしで、自分の生活で手一杯なので、跡をついで借金を払うほどの収入はありません。 実は、それほど、実家に思い入れはないのですが、祖母のことは心配です。 母親や兄、妹に対しては、借金が発覚したときに話をしたのですが、あまり危機感を分かってもらえず、自業自得じゃないの？とも思います。 もちろん、何も言わない父親も悪いのですが、生真面目で無口、正月以外の休みはほぼゼロに近い状態で働いて、1人で借金のことを背負っていたのかと思うと、すごく辛かっただろうな、と思います。 こんなときに、父親の体のことを1番に心配できないのがすごく悲しいです。 しかし現実を見ないと、家族は生活できません。 今まで甘えてきた兄夫婦に全て放り投げてしまったらいんでしょうか？ 何をどうすればいいのか・・。
